Zeology is an alternative to traditional tanning agents and is based on the natural volcanic clay mineral zeolite. This mineral is abundant in the Earth's crust and ensures that chrome and other harmful substances are no longer needed in bag production. The use of Zeology results in less pollution and reduced discharge of chemical waste and wastewater. Moreover, Zeology is more biodegradable when it comes to tanned material.
