Challenges of dewaterproofing
The new regulations encourage the de-waterproofing of soils and the good management of rainwater. In particular, they require the creation of permeable surfaces to limit surface water runoff. Thus, parking lots must be designed to encourage the natural infiltration of rainwater into the ground, while avoiding ruts, holes and puddles.
Stabilized gravel, an alternative solution
To meet these requirements, gravel appears to be a solution for maintaining this permeability of the soil but requires stabilization.
